Mark Dillon's Personal Profile

Mark is a City solicitor by background and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. He has an MBA in professional service firm management and is also qualified to use a range of occupational psychometric instruments (assessment and personality based), including Myers Briggs (MBTI) and 16PF. In summer 2006 Mark will graduate from Meyler Campbell's advanced level 'Business Coach' programme, accredited by the Law Society.

Mark has over twenty year's experience of working in the legal sector with many well known firms such as Herbert Smith, Eversheds, Nabarro Nathanson and Taylor Wessing, as a practitioner, director and most recently as a consultant and coach. He has also worked with organisations in the defence, police, local government and leisure sectors.

Mark applies his wide-ranging experience to assist clients with their development as professionals, with a particular focus on management expertise and personal performance. He also delivers a range of programmes on project management, practical business development, team performance and post transaction review. His Law Society management course for junior lawyers is highly rated. He also designs and runs assessment and development centres, sometimes in association with other leading specialist organisations such as OPP, used for recruitment, selection, promotion and competency development.

Coaching experiences include role transition (employee to partner, junior to senior manager, board appointment), achievement of performance goals, inter-personal skills (including self-confidence, self-awareness, dealing with difficult colleagues or clients and team management), business development, project management. Mark has coached individuals ranging from senior level executives to soldiers and young sportsmen.
