Martin Richardson's Personal Profile

Martin Richardson consults, teaches and coaches in personal and people management skills, concentrating on the pragmatic elements of developing effective day to day working practices. With a legal background, he has developed his expertise from his career, initially as a university lecturer specialising in commercial contracts, and latterly in a variety of management and consulting roles as an HR and Learning and Development professional. He has worked with blue chip organisations handling major budgetary responsibilities and has particular connections with the legal professional services sector.

Martin runs his own consultancy business and also undertakes agency work for other L&D organisations. His work with lawyers includes The Law Society's Management Course Stage 1, Business Writing Skills, Personal Organisation and Leadership Shills for a wide range of high profile City and provincial firms,. He also coaches senior executives (including law firm partners), helping them to improve their people management performance.

Martin originally studied law at Newcastle University before going on to acquire an MBA from Bradford University Management Centre. He is also a Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, and of the Chartered Management Institute.

Martin currently lives near Colchester in the UK. His interests include music, mountain trekking and snorkeling.
