Public PSC Elective / Introductory Level CPD (6 hours): Magistrates Court Workshop
Advocacy, Bail, Plea and Preparation
Using case studies and role play delegates will have the opportunity to practise and develop their advocacy skills within the context of typical Magistrates Court scenarios. The emphasis will be upon learning by experience so as to equip delegates with the confidence to assess and improve their performance every time they make a Court appearance.
Delegates will learn how to:
- Prepare quickly and thoroughly
- Deliver effective bail applications
- Structure and advance effective pleas in mitigation
- Recognise what it is the Court needs to know
